Englehem 31 @Jalan Tabuan,Kuching

Englehem 31 is the new-opening Thai and BBQ restaurant which is located at the shoplots beside SJK(c) Chung Hua No.1. I had heard some mixed comments regarding to this dining place but still could have the opportunity to try them out. Thanks to the public holiday ,Hari Merdeka, we got the time to hang out and have a taste on their food!
According to the owner of this restaurant, the chefs are all from Thailand and most of their ingredients / raw food are imported from Thailand. The owners of the shop are so friendly as they even walked up and  talked to customers to hear their comments on the food.
Well, they shop is open for everyday except Wednesday. The business hour is from 6pm to 9.30 pm.
For special occasions like birthday or etc.. do called beforehand for reservation.

         very comfy dining place

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor. Overall the space can accommodate for about 80 peoples.

                                                    My two cute friends xp

                                                                     Menu

Homemade Nam Matoom ( RM3.50 ) - taste weird + sour and it is actually made of Thailand asam.

Homemade Nam Makam ( RM3.50) taste awkward. haha..

Homemade Nam Krajiab (RM3.50) - exactly same taste as Ribenna

Fried Pandan Chicken (RM10) - The chicken was so juicy and nice, just the portion for this plateau is kinda small. Overall, very delicious!

Pineapple Fried Rice ( RM12) - Thai-style sweet pineapple fried rice with scrambled eggs and raisins. But the rice was too dry. A worth trying dish anyway.

Tom Yam Seafood Clear (RM18) - Among all the dishes, this was the most spicy one and it almost kill all of us...hahaha... we even ordered two more drinks just to wash off the spiciness.. The soup was sour, very spicy and the seafood that they used to cook for this meal were all very fresh which make the soup taste even sweeter. But after chatting with the owner, i realized that we can actually request them to adjust the spiciness.. but its too late... LOL...

Stirred Fried Sweet Potato Leaves with Thai Shrimp Paste (RM10) - This was indeed very nice but also has a little bit of hotness. The Thai Shrimp Paste was actually ' Thailand Belacan ' according to them. But the taste is not the same at all if compared to Malaysian belacan.

Sticky Rice with Mango ( RM10) - This was the best desserts ever! Almost every ingredients of this dishes was imported from Thailand. Highly recommended.

We spend for about RM78 for three persons. ( RM26 each )
The price is reasonable with very delicious thai food.
I think this restaurant is recommended to all especially those who loves spicy food.
